Provider Console overview

The Provider Console is where you, as an insurer, run your side of NetApps InsureTech. You use it to connect your insurance API, set up your company and team, check how your products reach merchants, and follow your quotes, policies and payouts.

How you fit inlink

NetApps InsureTech is a business-to-business insurance API platform. You publish products through your own API. Merchants sell those products to their customers through NetApps InsureTech.

You (insurer API) -> NetApps InsureTech -> Merchant -> Merchant's customer

A few rules shape everything you see in the console:

  • Your API is the source of truth. Products, prices, quotes, policies and claims live in your API. The console shows what syncs from it. You edit products in your own system, never in the console.
  • Your premium is the price. NetApps InsureTech sells at the premium your API quotes and does not re-price it. The platform commission is a percentage of that premium, set per product by NetApps InsureTech and shown on the Products screen.
  • Merchants stay anonymous to you. You see your own quotes, purchases, policies and claims, but the console never shows which merchant placed them.
  • There are two environments. Sandbox is for building and certification. Production is for real sales. The Credentials screen calls them Sandbox and Production. Lists such as Products and Transactions call them Test and Live.

From invitation to livelink

Every insurer follows the same path. You do most of the steps yourself; NetApps InsureTech does the certification steps.

  1. A NetApps InsureTech administrator registers your company and invites your first owner.
  2. You sign in with NetApps SSO and invite your team.
  3. You complete the setup checklist: sandbox API address, insurance categories, supported languages, settlement account and sandbox credentials.
  4. You run a sandbox API that follows the insurer API specification. If your API does not follow it yet, Adapter AI can generate an adapter from your API documentation.
  5. You paste your sandbox credentials into that API and run Check connection.
  6. You run discovery, then move your company from Draft to Sandbox.
  7. You verify your company (KYC) and add your production API address.
  8. NetApps InsureTech certifies your sandbox API and moves you to Certifying. You issue production credentials and pass Check connection on production.
  9. NetApps InsureTech moves you to Live once nothing blocks it.

Each person in your team has one role. Owners can do everything. Admins can do everything except the owner-only actions, such as issuing keys. Members can only do what their permission groups allow. See Team and roles for the full rules.
